An accessory dwelling unit (ADU) for the property owner of a south-side 3-flat who wanted to move out of his primary residence in order to rent his old unit and live on the back of his lot with his pet cockatiel. This would allow him to practice his cello without disturbing tenants and create additional revenue from the apartment. Wanted a large open space both for the acoustics when practicing but also so his bird has some room to fly around. Upstairs loft has a fold out bed and there is another murphy bed on the main floor for guests. Rooftop deck provides a outdoor getaway when tenants are entertaining in the back yard.
